We arrived in the middle of the night and were seen right away. The vet was calm and caring and her treatment plan worked perfectly. We could hear the staff through the door rooting for my cat and could tell that they genuinely cared about her.

I recently had to take our German Shepherd Ruger to VES after he got a nasty cut on his paw. The front staff were extremely kind and patient. The waiting area was clean and the atmosphere was calm which is so helpful with any dog, but especially the big babies like Ruger. I hope not to make ER trips a thing again, but if I have to with any of our babies, VES is where I will go.

The care was great. The compassion was felt. Everyone who interacted with us did a great job at handling everything we needed. Our vet tech and our Doctor were very kind and informative. And above all the caring of our dog and ourselves. What I appreciated most is the caring for our dog and the interaction with our dog as well.

The tech and the vet took the time to assess my dog's needs and share the care plan every step of the way. Everyone that helped us was wonderful! What I appreciated most is the explanation of services and costs, and the willingness of the vet to let me make choices without guilting me into needless expense.

I took my beloved cat Emma, who's 13 and hard of hearing into this clinic. I knew she wasn't doing very well, but they kept her over night. When they kept her comfortable, when they had her on fluids, it pain meds but they were unable to get her to a place where I felt that she could go on any longer. I just wanted to thank the doctors and the techs at the vet. After the first emergency vet, I contacted wouldn't take her. They did mention your office and I appreciate all the time and effort you went into even though I lost my Emma in the end.

6 days before Christmas I Came from Beatrice with my cat that got attacked by my dogs. Very quick and responsive once we arrived. They were very patient with me and my boyfriend as we were a mess. Upfront and honest with the condition my cat was in. All staff there was amazing and kind. I will definitely be going back to them when emergencies come up with my animals. They saved my little girl and I could not have gotten a better Christmas present. She looks a bit rough but she is back to her old self and doing amazing!

You guys are great, always. So grateful to have this resource in Lincoln! Dr. Freeman was SO warm and positive even when calling in the midst of a stressful overnight night. She made me feel like we were the only patient in the place for the time she was in our room. The level of communication and education about options and procedures are excellent. And prices -- especially for initial exams and X-rays -- are so reasonable.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Veterinary Emergency Services. We had to rush our kitten in due to breathing issues and subcutaneous swelling. They took her right in and got her on oxygen after taking x-rays. We had to wait a little while because it got quite busy, but that is completely understandable. The vet showed us the x-ray and explained everything in detail, we received a detailed invoice of what the bill could be depending on needs. We didn't have a lot to work with and they were able to work with us to bring the bill down to a manageable amount. They also provided us with phone numbers for organizations that may be able to assist with the bill. They kept her overnight to ween her off of the oxygen and keep her sedated. She had definitely improved from the night before. We greatly appreciate the staff here and their kindness, compassion, and understanding of our situation.

We took our beloved 9-year-old cat in on Saturday. After vomiting daily for quite sometime, he was at our regular vet twice with clean blood work and x-rays. They sent us home with no advice. The next day, my Little Man stopped eating and drinking. He'd lost 2 pounds in 2 weeks. I was so worried and rightly so. After waiting a very long time, we saw Dr. Sumner. She is fantastic. Old school, which I LOVE. She told us that there are two things we are looking at - gastrointestinal disease or lymphoma. And she laid out the road we were on to 1. find out which it was, 2. follow up with exploratory surgery to get biopsies or an endoscopy (specialist), and 3. find a med that MIGHT work. They kept him that night and gave him IV fluids. We had to go see him on Sunday. After three hours of loving on him and A LOT of time with staff, including Dr. Sumner, we decided to let Little cross the rainbow bridge. This was painful, and we are still grieving deeply. We will for a very long time. But he refused food, was starting to pee the bed, and was wasting away by the day. Oh, how I love that Little Man. Despite the worst ending, the staff was so supportive. I wish they could be my primary vet. (Photos from better days and the day we said Nite, Nite, Boy.)

Our experience with VES Lincoln was nothing short of amazing! Dr. Dishman, Dr. Sumner, all the vet med techs, and every staff member we interacted with were knowledgeable and honest throughout every step of our scary experience with our two kitties. Both of our kitties had possible exposures to lillies. We learned that lillies are so toxic to cats that you shouldn't even think about them! Our two cats had to be hospitalized and have iv fluids running, and labs done consistently and they saved our cats lives! We are so lucky to have brought them here. The poor staff also had to deal with our sassy & "fiesty" cat, but they handled his outbursts with care and continued to give him extraordinary treatment! Overall the entire team we worked with were very knowledgeable, communication was excellent, and we are more than satisfied with their services. We hope to never see them again😂, but if we have to, VES Lincoln will be our top choice!
